Students Learn Web Design Skills
HITS Academy is a Southern Humboldt Unified School District Web design course based at Osprey Learning Center. HITS is open to all district students wishing to participate. Elective credit can be awarded to junior high and high school students, and paid internships are available through the SHUSD's Schools to Career program. HITS currently meets at Osprey Learning Center every Monday and Friday from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Computer Education for Little Kids
The newly formed Lil' HITS Kids, for students 6-8 years of age, meets every Friday from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Osprey Learning Center.

Curriculum for the Lil' HITS Kids program can be found on the new Wired Digital site, Webmonkey for Kids, which was born out of a three-year collaborative effort between the Webmonkey staff and teachers at Casterlin School and Osprey Learning Center to find ways to engage young children in the art of Web design.
