Eel River Salmon Restoration Project

WHERE WE WORK:

Adult trapping and egg taking will take place at our facility 1.5 miles up Redwood Creek, tributary to the South Fork of the Eel River near Redway, California. In addition alternate broodstock trapping sites have been located on Salmon Creek, Sproul Creek, and South Fork of the Eel River at Garberville . Rearing sites have been established at three sites on Redwood Creek, one site on the South Fork of Salmon Creek, one site on Little Sproul Creek, and one site on Rattlesnake Creek. We plan on utilizing trapping sites, rearing sites, marking fish, and planting fish as directed by the Department of Fish and Game. All of these sites have proven to be good ones, with high quality water sources that promote continued high rates of success.
