We learned about the computer bus on our first trip to Casterlin in May, 1996. Like most schools these days, Casterlin was a little strapped for cash and needed to find a way to get the most out of its facilities. Folks in southern Humboldt are a fairly resourceful lot, so turning a bus into a computer lab didn't seem like a crazy idea at all. In fact, a school in Weott had already done it.
