Southern Humboldt Unified School District
The Southern Humboldt Unified School District has been a HITS partner from the very start. The district superintendent, board of trustees, and administrators
have supported us with the purchase of hardware and software, and offered a great
deal of encouragement. This rural school dsitrict covers 773 square miles
and maintains five elementary schools, a junior high, and high school as
well as Osprey Learning Center, the alternative education school.

The McLean Foundation is a local philanthropic organization based in Fortuna, Calif., that actively supports educational efforts in Humboldt County. It recently donated money that helped us purchase two new computers and a digital camera.

O'Reilly & Associates in Sebastopol publishes the finest computer reference guides on the planet. The kind folks down there sent us a huge box of books to use in the classroom at the Osprey Learning Center.
